5/2/2015 3:43:00 AM - Thank you for your input on Trebbiano d'Abruzzo from Emidio Pepe. The "sommelier" at the wine bar told me that this wine was at its best right after the cork is pulled and up to two hours. I must say I rather listen to you than to this "sommelier" in the future. I also had the Montepulciano 'd'Abruzzo 2009 ... and it wasn't my cup of tea either. The pricing is ridiculous too. 30 € for a glass!! Stupidity "en masse"!!

3/30/2014 5:56:00 PM - If you like this you may want to try 2009 Tenuta delle Terre Nere Etna Prephylloxera La Vigna di Don. Almost a rose look but so many layers on the palate. It's hard to believe these types of wines receive no press.

2/12/2014 6:50:00 PM - Ciao Mauro, Vuoi visitare Veronfiere quest'anno? Arriverò Milano il 2 aprile, non so cosa farò fino a quando la fiera comincia il 6 aprile a Verona. Ho pensato che sarebbe stato bello conoscerti, se è possibile. Your English is quite good, by the way. ciao,

10/26/2013 3:11:00 PM - Hello Mauropallido, Thank you for your Tuscany vintage tips. Sorry it took so long to get back to you. Too much working, not enough Dolce Vita these days.

10/23/2013 8:00:00 AM - Thank you for your comment. We did enjoy the wine; as a fairly young Barberesco, it drank easily and wasn't at all tight - I think the decanting helped. Though there were beautiful notes of rose and licorice, I would say the wine was more about the fruit and the structure than it was elegance. We bought this in Barberesco on a trip to the Piedmont last year so it is our only bottle of this wine. Good luck with your next bottle

10/13/2013 10:29:00 PM - Hello Mauropallido, Yes, this wine is that good. You are lucky to have a bottle in your cellar. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. I imagine you have access to many gems like this one where you are... I have searched for this one from sellers around the region here... it has disappeared. How is the the 08 and 09 vintage in Tuscany, any experiences? Thanks for your comment.

6/4/2013 5:15:00 PM - Thanks for your note. I had this with 5 other older wines. This showed very well. On a different vein, but delicious was the also conterno 2000 Barolo.
