I purchased two bottles in 2009, and both were stored well. I drank the first at the end of 2013, and simply recall that it exceeded my expectations at year seven. I opened the second almost a decade later, and it didn't disappoint. Cork was soft but held its own. I decanted for about 90 minutes because there was an unpleasant smell that dissipated completely. Virtually no sediment, which was surprising. The plummy fruit profile was still intact, but not as pronounced as a decade ago. Acid was still there. There remains strong life in this $50 bottle from almost 18 years ago but, in my opinion, on a decline. Well done!

I have to defer on rating this bottle. This is the first time I acquired any Bordeaux on a futures basis, and it arrived seven months ago. I decanted this one for about 4-5 hours. There was cherry on the nose. On the palate, the wine showed fruit that was not long lasting, and then was followed by another flavor I can't describe. It wasn't oak. I'm still optimistic about this wine, and I plan to revisit it in a few years.
I drank a 2018 and this 2021 within three days of each other. That confirmed that I like this wine young. Both bottles were consumed with friends and we wondered, with both bottles, where did this wine go. Superb!
