Opened yesterday. This is well-made, with a good sense of polish, showing green apple, pear, lime zest and ginger. The elevate shows in the style of the wine, with both a lees and woodsy imprint I would assume from barrique? Just a well-composed wine that I really enjoyed.

Champagne & Caviar by Atera (Atera - 77 Worth Street in NYC): One of the real surprises of the evening for me. Perhaps unfair but I just view this producer as a place that makes decent NV Rose that is always way overpriced in a restaurant. In fact though this was one of my favorites of the tasting. It's a blend of all chardonnay all from Grand Cru vineyards. The piece that jumps out the most with me is the texture. The bubbles are so fine and soft and they pop at you right in the beginning and then just kindof melts and that leads to a fairly long finish for the wine. Lean and slightly racy. I get this background hint of mint which surprised me. Very nice.

Delicious! Pretty nose of custard, brioche, week lemon, mineral, with hints of honey. Bright acidity and very delicate mousse. Very persistent. I wish it had a slight more fruit concentration, but overall an excellent Champagne!
