Tasted non blind. Opened and served immediately. Followed over about two hours.
Dark garnet color in the glass, a little dusty looking towards center. Nose of asphalt, pepper, black berries and black cherries. Flavors of dried plums, black cherries and black berries. Medium acidity, medium tannin, full bodied. Drink now.

From magnum. Tightly coiled upon opening, but reveals her charms about an hour into dinner. Color and bouquet are still spot on, although starting to fall apart on the palate and the finish. More spice than fruit right now, with shades of plum and ripe blackberry overtaken by burnt cedar, thyme, pine needle and brambles. Drink now.

Dinner @ Home (Fremont, CA): Pale-medium ruby with minimal bricking; nose is aromatic with high-toned red fruits, pomegranate, slightly smoky and minerality, fleshes out with more black fruits with air; palate is full bodied, good concentration of black fruits, medium acid, medium-plus balanced alcohol (seems less than 16.1% listed on the bottle), some black pepper spice; medium to medium-plus finish. A very nice Turley with excellent density and concentration on the palate, which is a real strength without showing its alcohol. Ready now. 91-93

Mature but enjoyable. Still has some fruit, but nicely aged and paired well with a lamb dish.
