Vosne Millésime - Noblesse des Clos Vougeot - Les Grands Jours de Bourgogne (Château du Clos de Vougeot): Walk around tasting. Spiced nose with meaty notes and lots of brooding black cherry. Same black fruited flavors with pronounced structure, but lots of density. More "Old School" style here, firm and powerful but backward. Don't even think about opening before 2030.

Wednesday Cellar Visits in Burgundy - Louis Jadot, Faiveley, and Bernard Moreau (Cote d'Or): Barrel tasting at the domaine from a single new oak barrel. Engaging red cherry and berry throughout, nicely spiced, with very bright textures. Not a wine for which Faiveley is well know, but one of their wines I tend to really enjoy. 93+ point potential.
