Short-lived nose of honey, butterscotch with hints of ripe, tropical fruits. Mineral, focused and evolved. Round but by no means flabby. Medium+ finish. Much better than expected.

Great nose!! Big butterscotch, vanilla and honey nose. But, it faded quickly. Similar flavors, but again faded quickly. Became a bit oxidized. Past it's prime. Drink ASAP.

Wine dinner at Think (Think Cafe): Full yellow color. Medium nose of mineral, licorice, and yellow fruit. Nice round rich mineral yellow fruit with just a hint of butterscotch.

Medium golden yellow. Distinctly honeyed nose, brioche and floral notes. Plenty of honey on the palate too, floral notes, traces of creamy oak, decent acidity and very long finish with nutty notes at the tail end. Taut, with good complexity, although perhaps lacking a little generosity and charm.

1er Cru Puligny & Chassagne Montrachet 2004-1995, with Richard Brazier (Handford Wines, London): Fruit, light mineral, “fullish” nose. Light exotic notes. Good ripeness, well evolved, round wine. Med weight on mid palate , quite long and evolved. Very enjoyable. Fresh and young for a 1999. Good life ahead. 92-93
