A wine of great energy and clarity. The nose is all white peach and white flowers. The palate is direct and detailed, with excellent complexity and richness. There’s a suggestion of aniseed and it oozes minerality. The finish powers on. Not far off Grand Cru quality for mine.

Delightful. After a few minutes warning in the glass, it’s quite expressive, showing corn, custard, marzipan and light earth. Modest acidity is just right to display its vibrancy. Surely one of the best ‘17s to drink now or soon but it may develop and last. But even if it doesn’t it’s a winner.

Rich and round with orchard fruit. Surprisingly forward for a 2017. Drinking well already.

Blind. Not enough richness to suggest Puligny for me but everything is together. Not complex, not surprised. 91-92
