Pulled from Vinotemp and poured through a Vinturi directly into Riedel wine line burgundy glasses. Medium nose with dirt, minerals and slight black fruit - good depth. Light bodied fruit showing slightly tart black cherry, red cherry, minerals and dirt, in nuanced layers, with good depth. Still somewhat primary. Great sense of place. Feminine and beguiling. Medium length finish with more layers of dirt and minerals. Medium firm tannins. Still has years of life left - at least 2 or 3. A really pretty wine with finesse, not power. Very good with basic roasted chicken.

Burgundy & other stuff from the cellar (The house): Big, sexy nose of red cherry and minerals. Big, clean red cherry fruit, with some depth and complexity. Very clean and pure with soft tannins and decent acid, with a medium length finish. A nearly perfect example of 1er cru Burgundy for me, with everything I look for in such a wine. Could certainly age longer, but showed very well, particularly with the prime rib and Comte. A WOTN for a couple of the attendees.

This followed two big mature ripe clarets and an equally big ripe Hermitage, and the contrast perhaps accentuated its light pretty cherry quality - pretty's the word.

Burgundy Producer Dinner (Bistro de l'Hotel - Beaune): At a very good place right now with lots of mature fruit and subtle spice in the background. Everything here is resolved, integrated and good right now.
