45mm natural cork enclosure. Gold colour. Med intensity nose yeilding pleasingly complex notes peach, lemon, pineapple, melon, apple and honeysuckle. Dry. Med acidity. OK balance and medium body. Lovely palate profile - it develops between sip and swallow. The length is ostensibly decent but is carried somewhat by the acidity. A pleasing wine that will easily stand up to food such is it’s intensity.

Complex fruit flavours revealing passion fruit, elderflower, grapefruit, quince and pineapple chunks (confectionery) seasoned with a little spice and lemon. It’s mouth-watering and has a delightful savoury element balancing the sweetness. I liked the mouthfeel and a pleasing finish. Overall I was more than satisfied by the general quality. 87 points

I had forgotten how good, and good value the wines from Saint Mont can be. This is a level above the basic co-op wine, and has a bit more complexity and texture about it, particularly if it's allowed to warm up a little. Much more to it than a basic SB or Ugni Blanc, with several different notes evolving. Some citrus peel on the nose, melon and honey too and the honeyed notes following on the palate though a dry and quite long finish. Excellent food wine too.

As good as before. Tropical fruits, with a lemon zest zing, good texture. Great value.
