Nose: Lightly oxidized. A bit of earthy, hint of mushroom, hint of brett. Primarily savory indistinct fruit. Palate: Medium body, high alcohol, high acid, high tannins.
The oxidization really made it click, because I’ve had a few oxidative barolos. But the Structure really made it fit well. By the time I got the high tannins on the finish my mind was made up.
Conclusions: This is from Italy, it is Nebbiolo, given the age and power probably Barolo, with a bit of age on it (not sure how much given the oxidation - I should have looked at the color for clues).
Opened and decanted for 1 hour prior to drinking. Nice bouquet of signature Barolo. Open and fresh on the palette, not overly powerful but with good structure to stand up over time. Overall, very nice wine from La Morra drinking well now but would like to see if more complexity develops after a few more years of age.

Herbaceous nose with giving raspberry brightness, graphite, glue and bitter herb character. Fullbodied and fruity on the palate with surprising smoothness to the ripe tannin structure. Open and very 07.Straightforward lengthy finish. Pleasent but not very exciting.

2007 Bosco Agostino Barolo, Neirane
14.5% Alcohol
$37
My Impressions:
Classic structure. I’m not getting much from the nose besides oxidation, earth, and brett.
Score: Around 8
