  • Past prime. Holding its own but not as good as prior bottles. Don’t hold on any longer.

  • Prior bottle was just over a year ago and my notes were quite consistent. Nose shows a mixture of black and now red cherry along with a combination of earth and light leather notes. Medium bodied with rounded and open black cherry upfront with more red cherry notes starting to creep in. Mid-body adds density and feels more open and harmonious than previously. Fine grained tannins and lightly tart acidity provide the contrast and structure on the backside. Finishes with mineral, earth, light leather notes and light spices. In general, the structural notes are in much better balance with the fruit and the wine demonstrates better integration than prior bottle. Has the elements to continue to hold this level, but I would drink over the next two years to enjoy this wine at it's peak. It's taken longer than I originally thought to fully come together, but it really has done so; much more than enough to justify the low initial price paid.

  • Drinking really well right now. Mature wine with tertiary flavors. I sense this will be fine for a while. Cheers.

  • Unlike my last bottle in 2018 which was flawed, this was quite decent. Medium plus weight, black currants and dried cherry, with a touch of vegetal notes. Smooth, easy drinking with tannin well subdued. Medium finish.

  • In a good place. I would be surprised if this wine improves with further cellaring..
