light golden yellow at the eye. Typical Sicilian chardoonay, elegant and classy, with vanilla, citrus and clear almond. Fat enough, butter. If compared to other Sicilian chardonnays, Tasca shows less overwhelming (althogh 14.5° alcohol) and less boisee. But also a little bit less complex. HOwever it is a great wine. Probably best in a couple of years from now

Grandi Marchi Tasting (Dockside Balcony, Cocklebay, Sydney): medium minus aromas of herbs, meat, slight peach notes. On the palate the wine is textured and dry with mid and front of mouth phenolic grip…finishes with spice notes but lacks fruit. Meh

Cinnamon oak, lime, roasted nuts, very dry, complex, long. Impressive, but has fierce competition in Australia, especially at this price point.

Grandi Marchi Italian Tasting (Sydney, Australia): Oak, melon and grapefruit. The palate is restrained and has good length.
