Hansel continues to deliver at a great price point. Garnet colored Nose has red fruit, cola and wet stone. Body is medium plus acid, resolved tannins and a bright finish. Better for food than contemplation, but a solid wine. In it drinking window.

Very good. Gorgeous nose with ripe blueberry and honeysuckle. Medium weight on palate, with ripe melon, black cherry, pomegranate, cinnamon, nicely balanced, long finish. Good stuff with plenty of life left.

Opened, poured and let sit about 1/2 hr. Then: Maybe a little bit of red fruit nose. Initial taste was strange, almost a bit metallic, but it quickly moved to maybe a bit of red fruit and spice. Acidity OK; tannin not an issue; mouthfeel a bit tight; very linear; maybe a bit out of balance. There's' some pinot taste here, but not that much. I'm usually a fan of Hansel pinot, but this one didn't have it. I think I have additional bottles and I'll be looking to drink another soon to see if this is an off bottle.

Dark red fruit, underbrush, wild herbs mingle nicely together in this RRV Pinot noir. Good depth and texture. The aromatics are pleasing and well defined. This is one of the more fruit wines from the Hansel portfolio, but it is certainly well balanced at age seven. I don’t think this will get any better. Good juice.
