Smoky, tobacco and cherry nose. Rich, ripe palate with plenty of tannic grip, black cherry, hint of spice and (dare I say) a mineral note. Good length although not subtle in its flavours. Cries out for food - I am drinking by itself as my girlfriend bakes fish in the oven (not a great match). The quality shines through however, although this looks to me to be a younger drinker.

This is the only sub $20 Pinot I'll buy and on sale for around $16. Going to a party with beer drinks? Bring this and you won't have to rip the kitchen apart looking for a broken corkscrew as it's a twist off. Dark maroon color with a smoke note. Rich dark fruit and medium plus weight. Fruit forward and flavorful. Hey, it works.

Tastes of very ripe strawberries, dried cranberries, fruit leather. A bit of a smokey undertone. Some tobacco as well.
