  Hard to rate this one - if it was the only bottle of wine on a desert island I could probably drink it but really there was almost no life left. A sad brown colour

  Flasche bei Franz Keller gekauft. Guter Füllstand. Kapsel leicht beschädigt, aber Korken hat sich gut rausholen lassen. Keine Probleme. Der Farbe im Glas hat man die 43 Jahre in der Flasche nicht angesehen. Schönes Granatrot im Glas. In der Nase keine Fehler zu erkennen, dezente Noten von Beeren und von Toffee. Tolles Zusammenspiel von Primär- und Tertiärnoten. Im Mund dann direkt nach dem Öffnen noch etwas verschlossen und sehr gradlinig, kurzer Abgang. Mit etwas Zeit öffnet sich der Wein dann noch und wird intensiver im Geschmack und halt auch länger nach am Gaumen. Toller gereifter Wein und gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis für das Alter.

  Picked this bottle up from auction at a great price purely out of curiosity. Good fill into the neck. Cork came out easily using the Durand. Colour was mid garnet with a pale rim. Classic bouquet of Graves earthiness and minerality. Everything tertiary you want from a mature Bordeaux claret. Finish was smooth but just a little short. Primary fruit lovers should stay away from these bottles until their own palate matures.

  From a well stored bottle with level almost into neck.
  Colour mid garnet with moderate orange rim.
  Very much alive with a lovely mellow balance between classic old bordeaux flavours of dusty fruit, cedar and sandalwood. Excellent with a lamb dinner.
