Half-bottle purchased at Lisbon airport. Nice dark ruby red, just barely see-through. Timid nose upon opening; touch of red and black fruit and spice/violets. On the palate, the attack is frank, luscious, with nice sweet dark fruit preceding quite present slightly rough tannin. A good length and a touch of alcohol on the finish. This is good, but I can't currently say that it is better than the Graham's 2015 LBV. If anything, I'd say the extraction on this is higher, the tannin quite a bit firmer, but then the firm tannin is sort of the house style. A very good filtered LBV but not at all comparable to the flight of 5 Taylor vintages I tasted 10 or so days ago. But then it isn't supposed to be. 89-90 or so.

I am more of a Tawny fan, but loved this LBV. This is the best LBV I have had and I preferred it over many “vintage” ports. A great wine and fun to drink.

Scrumptious Port with a great QPR. Polished with great balance and intensity.

Just so nice right off the bat. No decant, no sediment. 4x the price isn't 4x as good. Starting to second guess my purchasing.

Vibrant honey. Never had a late harvest port. Liked it very much.
