Typical young Lauer reduction on day 1. After 18 hours in the bottle, much of the reduction has blown off, the fruit has ripened, and the subtle minerality and floral notes have emerged. I think this is maybe just one or two years away from the beginning of its "peak" drinking period in terms of pure fruit and terroir expression. It's great to drink whenever, though.
What I love about Stirn and Kern is how perfectly balanced the sugar and acid are throughout their life. With typical Pradikat wines, I find myself looking for the perfect age to hit the balance: with these I just open them and remark how perfectly Florian nails it vintage after vintage.

Insanely aromatic upon opening: white peach, lemon, orange, fennel, racquetball and so much more. So so so tightly coiled, you can smell the tension. Palate is white cranberry, pineapple, ripping acidity, but plenty of rs to keep in balance. Finishes off dry.
Decanting several hours before dinner.....

Yum just what I needed on a warm evening. Enough sugar to keep you wanting more but not so much you can’t drink the whole bottle alone.

Flavors a little less interesting than the Stirn. Well made wine but lacking the layers of flavors.
