Screwcap enclosure. According to Ken Forrester himself, this is good until 2025, so here we go! It’s turned a medium garnet. Complex and med(+) intensity, was first impression. Dry (obvs). Sweet spice, vanilla, dark fruit, some fresh red fruit too - raspberry or even red cherry, pepper, damson. Med(+) body. Pronounced intensity, smooth, with a good long fruit driven finish that has a profile that evolves. This is well balanced wine. High acidity, med(+) very fine tannin. I’m rather impressed. Damn… so more’ish 😋

A blend of 65% Grenache and 35% Syrah from old vines, aged separately for 12 months in old FR oak, another 12 months once blended and another 24 months in bottle. Only 1500 bottles produced. Medium ruby colour. Medium intensity aroma of forest berries, spices, bramble, cherries, vanilla, oregano, tar hints. Medium body, silky texture, medium viscosity with concentrated black fruit layers, cocoa and vanilla hints, sandy tannins. Seductive, pure and harmonious, just loved it.

Medium garnet colour. According to Ken Forrester (live webinar) good for 10 years. Slightly suppressed nose med(-) intensity. An outstanding vintage according to Ken F. The nose yields spice, vanilla, raspberry, vanilla, leather and lovely ripe fruit in the background. On the palate the acidity, tannins and body are med(+). The flavour intensity is pronounced. Lovely balance. The finish is med(+) in length and slightly carried by acidity. Lets see what time does.
