  Bodegas La Caña's 2022 Albarino was partially fermented in French oak puncheons and demi-muids (25%) and partially fermented in stainless steel tanks (75%). Following fermentation the wine remained in the same vessels, being aged sur lie for eight months. Popped, poured and serially tasted over two hours, it is immediately expressive on the nose and palate, offering an array of green apples, blood oranges, stone fruits, meringue and white flowers. Light-bodied, vibrantly acidic, seamlessly alcoholic (13.5%) and with minimal detectable wood, it has a nice backbone of minerality and salinity that is pervasive on the mid-palate and throughout the lengthy finish. Enclosed with a Nomacorc Select Green 300 synthetic cork. Drink now-2026.
