PALATE: Mostly prunes, blackberry and other dark fruit with a little leather and white pepper. Well balanced, good acid and full mouth coat. The longer it was exposed to air the more fruit forward it became.
FINISH: Nice and bold and although it lasted well I just wish it was a little longer.
Enjoyed with a 30 Day Dry Aged Porterhouse and alongside a 2007 Robert Sinskey POV. Both wines were decanted a little over an hour and fantastic, aged well, perfect with steak and get the same rating but the POV was more of a drinker while the Buehler was better with food.

Look what I found! I thought this bottle was emptied 6 years ago!?
I didn't know what to expect, but it has held up pretty well. PnP. A little off-balance at initial taste, so was a little concerned, but improved and came together after a little time in the glass. Muted nose and soft palate of blue fruit, cassis, a touch of cocao and spice. Essentially no tannins, but a silky, medium finish.

Dark fruits, especially blackberry. Fruity, briary, I would almost compare to a Zinfandel but in a good way. As to the 2014 reviews saying this was past peak and drink up, well, it's six years later and this is still going strong. Perfect match for marinated steak tips this evening.

Apparence rouge grenat très dense. Décanté, de la lie écarté. Nez expressif, cassis, framboise cuite, cèdre, curry. En bouche, beaucoup de matière, fruit très mure généreux, fruit cuit, tanins arrondis, longueur sur des notes épicées de curry et de boite à tabac.
From a bottle left over from the prior evening's tasting. Cassis, dark fruit and chocolate notes. Medium tannins with flavors of black fruit and chocolate. Decent finish. Nice.

(Buehler Vineyards Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon) COLOR-dark; NOSE-definite black fruit (cassis; black cherry, raspberry, dark blueberries); little hint of cedar that I like; also some vanilla ice cream; PALATE-this is a really solid effort; an exceptional value; extremely smooth; good fruit; really well made and well structured; really nice silky balance; a really solid bottle of cab; GV-90+

BUY IT, OPEN IT, DRINK IT!! Extremely nice wine!

NOSE: Prunes and pencil shavings
