This bottle tasted great. No decant and drank over 4 hours. Almost no sediment, very good purity, nice power, the fruit does have a baked/dried component to it.

The wine was decanted and enjoyed over two hours. The color is dark purple with a hint of bricking. The initial aromas were classic Buehler/Howell Mountain. Very nice mature cassis and ripe, roasted blackberry complimented by black rock minerality. The tannins are nicely integrated and the wine has a very nice fine, almost filigreed texture. The evolution of the wine was not for better or significant. Some fresh earthiness and stewed quality to the fruit emerged. There was a significant amount of sediment in the wine. While this wine didn’t show itself to be one of the better Buehlers I’ve had, it’s still a pretty solid performer and a very good QPR even if this vintage isn’t performing as far up the food chain as other vintages of Buehler do.

Paired with roasted chicken. Also drank with DeBrand's chocolates for dessert. Wine opened up a bit sharp; but became very tasty after a bit. Really enjoyable

Still great. Muted red fruit, no tannins at this point. Very smooth.
