  This magnum was fantastic. It starts out with all of the kinky Bongran notes of ripe, exotic fruits bordering on over-ripe. After a bit it stretches out and those notes become part of a bigger whole and the wine seems to lighten and become more elegant. There is plenty of acidity to shape the wine and even some minerals at the bottom. I'm glad I put more of this wine away these days. Among my favorite chardonnay from anywhere. Great now and with no signs of slowing down, but why wait?

  Rich on both nose and palate with saffron, vanilla, ripe pears, honeydew melon, apricot, white flowers, candied lemon and hints of walnut and orange zest. Silky feeling but still good energy and acidity. Good lenght but at times just a little bit bitter grapefruit towards the very end. Very nice!

  Very perfumed, fruity, almost sweet nose. White flowers, mixed berries, ripe lemon, yellow plum, pineapple, sweet apples but without the "bruised" parts. On the palate initially broad and somewhat sweet but after a few seconds the acidity kicks in. Velvety feeling but still with plenty of energy with good minerality. Quite long. Very good in an unusual style.
