The bouquet is still a bit locked. On the palate mild acidity and red berry fruit acidity. There still is some tannin. With more air time the wine improved.

Has reached maturity after 2 years in my cellar since my last noted bottle. My only criticism is that it has resolved into a surprisingly lightweight wine - if in perfect balance. Plenty of savoury notes with a juicy blackcurrant fruit core, grainy integrated tannins and strappy nuances. Enjoyable; but just lacks the intensity to tip in into the hoped-for excellent 90pt bracket. For drinking over the next year or two.

Good showing. Red fruits, black pepper and earthy sous-bois on the nose. Tannins seem to be resolving well. Appealing and quaffable. If not ready now, it can't be far off. Wish I bought more.

Still marginally too young to assess although over a year since my last bottle. Remains crunchy ripe blackcurrant at its core, taut but with hints of spice and green herbal nuances etc just starting to emerge .... perhaps next year! Should have a decently long plateau at the 90?+ mark when ready. Excellent (and good value).

Compares to smooth pinot. Good with salmon. Would not hold up to heartily meal
