Bold but not overpowering. Alcohol is not too high. Not something I would drink everyday but wanted to catch my friends off guard and not one guessed Zin. Calls were more Italian.

Drank this at a friend's house with steak kebabs. This friend likes aged wines. I had never had an aged Turley Zin (usually a fruit bomb in its youth). Amazing to see how muted this was with age. My taste preference is old world, not a fan of fruit bombs so I enjoyed this very much. The fruit had died down considerably compared to a young Turley Zin. Vanilla is very balanced at this point as is the oak. However, given that most Turley fans prefer fruit bombs, for most people this wine would be way past its prime. Tasted like dark fruits (but very muted), a hint of wood, leather and a bit of spice. Very nice and aligned to my taste palette (although I am very aware that at this stage, for most folks this would be underwhelming)

Very much enjoyed this. Very fruity but without being over the top and the vanilla is very well controlled. I usually do not enjoy heavy oak driven wines and this one did not hit me as overpowering. Very nice

Classic Turley Zin. Still plenty of dark fruit. High ABV (16.2!) but aged and mellowed nicely.
