My third 1952 tasting (1st – 1992, 2nd - 2016, 3rd May 2017, including Latour, Mouton and Pétrus). (see my previous note); the tasting was Tuesday, May 16 and I had to leave the mostly empty bottles at the restaurant as I was by bike. Saturday evening I could retaste a small remaining glass (four days later and stored without a cork!) and wow, even better, rounder, still very fresh, more depth (no depot); amazing, but 'Those were the days'! The Pichon-Baron, only a wet bottom, was nearly as good as on Tuesday.

My third 1952 tasting (1st – 1992, 2nd - 2016, 3rd May 2017, including Latour, Mouton and Pétrus). An amazing young colour, still lots of fruit, soft, round, tasty, somewhere in the aftertaste there is a whiff of hefty acidity, but it is mostly masked by the fruit. A lovely, even lively wine.
