Wines of Fratelli Revello (Chui Huay Lim): Rose, cherry, violet with high acid and fine tannins. Classic Barolo that is drinking well now. Use of 10-15% new oak in barrique.

Now that is an open and expressive note of Nebbiolo. With the maraschino cherry but then also that orange zest character to it. Bit of a grass or a touch of a sweet pretty green note to it. And structured up on the palate and closed up. That is wound tight. Time to lay it down for the 10 year program. Really tightly wound with loads of tannin.
Why do you not produce reserva?
"We have different ideas about Riserva and its hard to find a compromise between brother, sister and father over what a Riserva is."
Very structured up, just opened, but I would say lay it on down.

Also smelling really great. More cherry than anything, and really beautiful.

Didn’t have time for the wine tasting notes. Only the scores.

Dark and husky, reservered yet drinkable. I'd just hold onto it.
