Improved since I last had this. Lush and unctuous with a core of vibrant plum and brambly red fruit. Nice leathery and earthy undertones with a real spicy finish that is long and well balanced. Very youthful for its age.

Classic CDP, but very tight and structured at first. Needs several hours in the decanter. Figs, plums, cherries, blackberries, game, leather, spice, Earl Grey. The fruit is still very ripe and concentrated and secondary characteristics are well integrated but only just creeping through. Everything is in balance here and it is a delicious wine, but perhaps missing just a little something to make it truly outstanding. With slow cooked meats it's a match made in heaven. A few years in the cellar may bring the best of this out.

Stunning nose basket full of spices, some black fruits, on the palate smooth.....and for me lacking some tension, concentrated and fullbodied, long finish, hmmmm......in my opinion this wine will not improve by further cellaring, 86- 88?

Garrigue nose. Smooth and multi-faceted but not really exciting. Very good, no more.
Nez de garrigue. Soyeux et multi-dimensionnel, sans atteindre à l'excellence. Très bien sans plus.

Black fruits and a smokey bouquet of subtle spices. Meaty. Barrique. Nice balance and consistent structure. A great, classic CdP.
