  • Really nice. Silky with currant, cherry and some mineral. Not very complex. and not a great QPR. I think I'll just stick to their estate wines.

  • Opened at cellar temp and poured a glass to open and warm up for an hour before consumption. I am on the tail end of a cold, so that may factor in here. The blueberry and and black fruit has faded a bit since last year, as have some aromatics. Mineral and other secondary factors still make this a very enjoyable wine, just not the show-stopper that it was 12 mo ago.

  • this wine is absolutely delicious & one of the most balanced wines i've had. 3hr decant. had the classic pinot nose...loads of darkfruit, cherry, blueberry & a touch of wax. very soft & elegant mouthfeel. a frontend full of sweet prunes, almost honeylike, & then transitioned to a backend of a savory and spicy component of thyme & rosemary... awesome. this finished after almost a full minute! wow. this wine has got the goods.

  • Brought to a restaurant at cellar temp. (Happy 2010!) Not decanted, but I had the sommelier pour a glass to get more air on the wine for this first hour or so. Powerfully fragrant nose of blackberries, spice and a note of blueberry. The mid palate showed cinnamon and aromatic underbrush notes, finished long and lush. Great balance, great wine. Paired well with the maderia-sauced tenderloin and rich mashed potatoes.

  • 14.25% alc. Popped and poured. Very tight and acidic nose upon initial opening. After about 90min of air, stronger aromas of underbrush, spice, and mocha come through along with similar notes repeating on the plate. Dried cherries and blackberry notes add to the complex and balanced midpalate. Finish is long and graceful with firm acid and mild tannins adding backbone and balance to this wine. I think that this still has a few years before its peak. With a brief decant or air this wine is a stunner now.
