What a pleasant surprise! This bottle was forgotten for a while and is well past its "drink by" date, but it was intact and really quite good. Fabulous QPR. Don't tempt fate; drink up!

Impressive that this is 10 years old and drinking so well. Just a hint of oxidative flavors but not the least bit flabby and the core of red and dark fruits suprisingly integrated and delicious. These Carlisle zins definitely improve with age and are a breed apart--and this an entry level bottle at $23.

Just a terrific bottle of wine. Very finessed, with any rough edges smoothed out after 5 or 6 years in the bottle. Violet in color, with some black fruit jam and a nice long finish.
So sorry it's gone!

Nice showing on this my last bottle of '05. Smooth blackberry and plum, ending with a subtle kiss of French oak. Maybe a bit 2-dimensional but quite enjoyable.

Might be time to drink up. A lot of alcohol on the nose at first. As the wine opened up, the aromas gave way to a bit of cedar and cigar. The flavor of dark fruit and plums finished with a bit of an earthy funk.
