  Brief decant. Burgundy glass. Remarkable wine. Not a "lesser" or a "baby" Musigny, just solid Musigny. Granted, given the rich and luscious year, there would be no difference whether you are drinking Musigny collected either from the young (here: 10-25) or from the old ("proper Musigny, 25+) vines.
  Classical Vogue style. The smell is intoxicating. Palate-wise: wait 10 more years. But enjoyable now. I would not pair it with food, just sip it through with your friend through the evening.

  Served alongside the '02. Deep dark color, dark fruited. Great structure and is a 'baby' at this time, when compared to the '02. . Although drinking very well, it will continue to evolve with more time. One can certainly see the same characteristics in the 2 wines...the '10 being more structured, and will likely evolve where the '02 is now, or even surpass it.
  
  The '02 is now starting to show some secondary notes...Dark cherries, earth, hint of sous bois. Very lush and silky on the palate. Plush mouthfeel. Great balance and long silky finish. Beautiful wine and I rated it a point higher at this time.

  Chambolle 1er dinner: My contribution, popped and poured. Lovely purity to the fruit that makes 2010 my favourite vintage in recent times, and made the wine seem younger than it actually was. The balance of the vintage helped to make this wine a lot more approachable than it normally would be I think, and it showed a lot more red fruits compared to the darker-fruited 2003 and 2011. My third favourite of the night.
