While this wine was very good, it lacked the complexity I personally prefer in my Burgundies. It was a more modern style and well made. It did express more oak than I like but again a very well made wine. Please don't confuse my stylistic preferences with the quality of this wine. It would especially appeal to those who like domestic pinot with a French twist. It did express terroir but not so much the rustic, meat and smoke we love in our Pinots. Regardless, a very good wine but possibly a bit high on the QPR.

Wild and grippy, black fruited, hard to believe it was so young, but loads here - fascinating and enjoyable

Spicy, oaky nose, a hint of minerality; lovely density and weight. Taninic with good length and a satisfyingly oaky finish. 91-93
