The Grand Tour - day two (Bordeaux): Polished, crushed rock and muted, closed, blackcurrant. Touch of graphite and cigar box…spicy as well. In the mouth it's savoury and slightly sour cassis, mineral and almost briny notes backed by firm, drying, grippy, slightly gritty tannins. Nice, for me...and the vintage.

Very appealing indeed. Ticks all my St Estephe boxes. Superb value for money too.
Previous CT tasting notes cover this slightly maligned but clearly somewhat misrepresented vintage.
Can still carry a very decent tune for at least the next 3-4 years.
