Inky purple color with dark fruit on the nose. Plum taste with a little acidity to carry some pear and apple into the finish. An undertone of pepper as well. Did not taste with food. Quite a bold wine with a lingering finish.

Big tannins. Cherries and raisins and maybe some plum rounded outby a big bold black pepper spice. Pretty darn yummy, but not as good as the '05. Definitely opens bigger with food.

Big berry fruit blast on the nose on opening. Drank well and stood up for itself against some hardy food.

Very jammy, with a good amount of tannins for this type of wine.

This time we had it with beef enchiladas and again, it was very good. Zins go very well with mexican food!
