First glass was a bit rough - thought it would get much better after opening (as I have had it before). I would recommend to drink up if you have any left in your cellar.

Decanted 45 minutes using an aerator. A classic Amador blend of spices. Allspice, Cardamom and Clove that differentiates it from other zinfandels. Montevina is a historic vineyard (vines now over 100 years old). Flavors of ripe plum make this wine a rich Zinfandel. Slightly dry. Shows with full fruitiness and roundness on the palate leading to a smooth finish. This wine drinks well all by itself, but my sense is it would fair well with grilled steaks, caprese, or salsa. A this price point ($11.00) it is an exceptional bargain. I recommend this wine.

Pop and pour. This had some red fruit with nice spice but a little too much oak. All in all, very nice for the price.
