Medium red in color. Pepper, sage , grilled herbs on the nose. Held up nicely to a very spicy red sauce. Hints of anise, leather, tobacco and finishes with tart cherry. Has moderate structure, should stand up for several more years, but is my last bottle of this vintage.

Red brick in color. Aromatic, with cigar tobacco, cedar black tea and red fruit. Youthful. Tart cherries, faint licorice , some wet stones, and moderate tannins. Should have a long life ahead of it , but really good now. Terrific with lasagne . Liked it better with food than by itself. Really shines against red sauce.

Great Barbara. Smooth and round with a long finish. Structured with great acidity and red berry fruit and licorice notes. Seamless and so drinkable. Drink now- 2020.

Still a consistent go to. Best with food. Cherries, berries, touch of black tea and a little wild thyme.
