Thought we waited too long to open this bottle based on the drink dates. We were very pleasantly surprised! We opened & decanted for about an hour. Very smooth.

Saturday Night Get Together Non-Blind (Bin 75): Dark purple to the rim; overripe dark berry and a little vanilla on the nose; palate is taut and tangy dark fruit which salvages the wine; decent.

Inky dark purple, ripe cherries, iodine. Dusty dry, medium fruit, tart lemon zest, pomegranate, cherry. Light body with fresh mouthfeel, nice acid, light tannin balance. Good food wine. Much better on night two, just a little initial bitter detracts out of the gate, but diminishes and is not offensive. It keeps getting better, a little pine and iodine tonight with a hint Brett that is small enough to give more complexity. Further reasons to not drink before it's time. A couple more years in this puppy.
