Transparent red in color, almost Pinot Noir in color and intensity. Berries on and floral notes on the nose...lacking in the body that I would expect from a Syrah, Grenache and a Mourvedre blend. The finish was enjoyable but truncated. The tanins were nonexistent. I should have consumed it sooner and it probably is beyond it's prime...an 85 point wine.

I was a bit worried at first as the nose seemed to be all acetone. Several minutes later this blew off though. Still tons of fruit left in this one although it seems to have turned raisony at this point. No real oak or tannin left along side the portish sweet fruit. This was one of the first Rhone Rangers I had bought and left this to see what might happen. Seems as though it was drinkning better a couple years ago. From recent experience with VC I would drink most within the first 3 years.

Splash decanted and poured, alcoholic nose initially blew off, spices and earthy tones, soft tannins, peppery and black fruits nicely ntegrated. Went well with Kathy's short ribs abd buttered egg noodles.
