Tannic on opening. Third day, after vacuum, it’s better. Acid prevalent, mid-weight, astringent. Noting all kinds of estimates for ultimate longevity, I would say this would be better in 2025 and has years in front of it. Will revisit.

No formal note but I thought this was thrilling, at once elegant, classy, with an almost Burgundian texture but flavors that were quintessentially Loire.

This one’s for you JC. Light body 12.5pct ABV. Been a few years since I opened one of these. It has become silkier, with less dust and barnyard funk, although the latter is still noticeable (which I like). This drinks like a very light Bordeaux. It’s very enjoyable.

This wine continues to deliver - complex notes of mushrooms, red fruits, violets. Beautifully balanced and with a lingering finish of red currants and spice. Drinking well now but can still go a few years.

Very Good++. The first of a 6-pack purchased five years ago. Lovely, of course, and drinking very well now. If anything, a bit understated, mid-weight, pretty nose and excellent varietal and place transmission. Earth and cherry, violet, dried herbs, a thread of green. A bit light in the middle. Medium finish.
This was PnP and over only an hour. I must try the next one with a decant of a few hours.
I'm not sure about the CT community window out to 2034 on this one. I'm moving mine in to 2029.
12.5% abv
