Flint, oyster shell and lemon nose. Elegant, light to medium bodied, mineral and flint characters interspersed with white nectarine, an attractive and balanced acid spine. In a good place at the moment.

Wine has some hints of TCA you could almost be forgiven for mistaking as ageing aroma's - forest floor, stinky cheese. However, you notice it overpowering the otherwise lovely ripe white fruit. Still a delicious glass of wine. Just not entirely right.

Very nice unoaked Chablis nose. Clearly a less ripe vintage, but in many ways it's refreshing having a Chablis with a good acid backbone. Perhaps not a vintage for long term cellaring but drinking very well now.

{cork, 13%} Mid yellow/green. Odd nose, very confected and sweet-oak-smelling, with tropical fruit-salad aromas. Not the flinty chablis I was expecting. The palate doesn't oaky in flavour at least, although there might be a bit here which is adding to the slippery sort of texture. It seems oddly low in acid, is never actually sweet-tasting at least, and perhaps manages a bit more of a stoney character even though there's still lots of melon and paw-paw about the flavours. Finishes on the short side as well. I don't think age will help either. A bit of a dud, i must say.

A good clean cork! Has aged well.
Nice savoury, light, wine for Summer not Winter drinking. Seashell characters. Perhaps resting a bit too much on lees character.
Yes it’s a bit dilute but the total package is nice, and what you’d hope for in inexpensive Chablis.

Horrible, grey cork. Clearly something off.
