A substantial, weighty cuvee, very much in line with Olivier Leflaive style, especially for anyone who's tasted his Meursault's or Auxey Duress'.
On the nose - Garigue, limestone, Reblochon and toasted nuts, definitely more stink and less fruit. Definitely has intrigue, but at times it's a little much and perhaps lacking in balance.
In the mouth - Lush and full with explicit notes of dried fruit, apricot, herbs and honeysuckle. Much better balance on the palate than on the nose, and really quite enjoyable.
Good QPR, and comparable in quality to Leflaive entry level village offerings.
89 points on the night, drink now through 2026.

Solid no nonsense bourgogne blanc at a price [that used to be] to die for. No longer quite the value it once was but you are still likely to be getting an excellent bottle for your money. As a house white you really cannot go far wrong here.

There is almost no praise high enough for this wine. It screams white burgundy and punches way over its weight. Remember that it is (was) a shade over £10 ib and tell me again that I am talking rubbish. It is *always* completely on point. Excellent on day 2 also, just consistently good wine with a simply stellar QPR. Buy as much as you can of this and the Oncle Vincent, even with the price hikes, you can't go wrong. Grapes from around Puligny in most years (supplemented from the Macon in 2021) and made by the same team in the same place. Bargain.

Tart when first open and then mellowed out after 35 minutes. Almost clear medium-light body wine. Mellon and pear fruit with a slight mineral hint. Beautiful finish.
