New Release Burgundy Tasting (Chicago.wine - Glenview IL): Walk around tasting. Complex combination of stone fruit, ripe orchard fruit and lemon custard. So much here, nearly sweet for now, but with so much enticing concentration and good+ length. I tend to enjoy Paul Pernot wines on the younger side, and think this may be best 2024-2032, 92-93 point potential. My #1 wine of the afternoon.

Medium golden yellow in color. Full, forward & fragrant nose of ripe fruit aromas of apples, pears, citrus notes of lemons/limes & grapefruit with overtones of floral notes of honeysuckle, spices & somewhat stony/flinty notes & vanilla/oak. Medium bodied with a very good concentration of well balanced & smooth textured, lush, ripe fruit flavors of apples, pears & lemons/limes with minerals, flinty, stony & vanilla/oak. Long lingering finish. Drinks quite well at present but needs additional time to fully develop at which time the score should be higher (95+).
