Weekly tasting group #026; France: Beaujolais. (@ MvG): Transparent red with a brownish hue. Slightly mature bouquet. Is there some oak? beside the raspberries. On the palate not so much fruit although there still is some raspberry. A bit earthy and good fresh acidity which makes the wine juicy.

I had a bottle of this almost two years ago, and it was very tight, but I can happily say that the it is far more approachable now. It has raspberry, and strawberry and while the tannins are soft they provide good structure such that I reckon they will be good drinking over the next three years.
