Half bottle. An extreme, but fascinating wine. Pale golden colour. In the nose, this is fruit free and true to its Terroir in a very abstract way. Smoke, tar, hay, burned malt, barley. This is so unique, unlike any other Riesling I‘ve had. In the mouth, it‘s bone dry, deep, totally fruit free again, slightly adstringend, almost no acidity, soft, but great structure. I get why many people hate this wine. Personally I find it fascinating for its uniqueness.

Bought 2x from recommandation of SAQ (store) employee, even though some CT comments were not great... Petrol nose with some minerality. In the mouth, however, fruit is absent... clearly passed its peak. Will return remaining bottle!

Maybe I was lucky, based on the tasting notes my expectations for this wine were low, however this was a bottle of wonderfully aged Riesling that slipped down beitifully wish a fish pie. 2003 is certainly an ideosychratic year and this wine still has life in it yet, or maybe it's just a matter of taste.

Well past its prime. Golden in color, very shy nose of petrol, honeycomb, white peach. On the pallet only faint whisper of what was once im sure a very good wine. All the fruit is gone, muted minerality, nothing bad but also nothing good. If your holding any bottle its hard for me to even advise to hurry up and drink them, all in all a big letdown but my fault for waiting too long.

pale yellow but it quite distinctly astringent - it may be just that the wine has seen much better days
