Very drinkable now. Probably to develop further from cellaring, but surely also lovely now. The bit edgy acidity that Louis Michel can have as young was gone, but still some vibrant minerality freshness. Mango and lime and an ocean salty finish. Served with mussels. Went well together. 90-92PP

This is already very pretty and complete Chablis hitting all the favorite Chablis notes -- mineral, sea breeze, orchard, citrus zest. Good fleshy fruit with fresh, zippy acids. A vintage that is drinking very well at this early stage. No reason to hold.

Ripe apple and pear on the nose. Good ripeness, apple, pear and hazlenuts to start followed by good minerality and a bit of lemon on the finish. This is coming into its own now. 92+ points

Very pretty nose of green apple, flowers, and striking minerality. Forward and plush, showing more roundness than expected, but with excellent focus. The strong acidity and mineral-laden palate frame the fruit nicely and delivers a persistent and beautiful finish. A-

Grand Tasting - La Paulee de San Francisco (Westin St. Francis - San Francisco CA): Ripe orchard fruit to start with good floral support. Again fairly ripe on the palate, with powerful apple, candied apple and pear flavors, along with noteworthy roasted nut flavors, then assisted with some modest citrus emerging along the finish line. A very good expression of ripe Chardonnay, but if tasted blind I would have thought it a very high-end Meursault vs. Chablis...which of course isn't a bad thing to say about a wine.
