Very nice Suchots. A bit reserved but very Vosnee in structure. Missing a little concentration, but very graceful. Still showing some youthfulness to the plummy fruit and pepper and floral notes. A little beet root. Nice finish

Absolutely divine. As with most great Burgundy bottles unfortunately 99 point rating is for the last glass from the bottle. But there is no denying that it is at its peak right now. Drink slowly after opening the bottle. We had a couple of glasses after letting the bottle open for 1.5 hours. Then left the second half of the bottle for another 1.5 hours and went back to it to find it had turned into the best bottle of wine of 2023. Unanimously loved.

This did not meet my admittedly high expectations. After the 2012 version won a blind tasting that included Vosne 1er Cru from Arnoux, Grivot, Comte Liger Belair, Meo, and Dujac, I was expecting the 2014, my favourite Red Burg vintage to blow me away. The nose has the floral stemminess I’d expect along with black fruit, and easily wafts from the glass. This was a great start but I didn’t feel that the aromatics were as complex or evolved they way the 2012 did. Also the palate was less intense and persistent. It’s an easy wine to drink but no masterpiece, at least at this time.

Another great showing if the Suchots with red fruit, strawberries, orange rind, and spice. It was feminine and ethereal on the palate.

Very good, red fruit, spice and gentle oak. Surprisingly expressive and giving for a 2014 red.
