Walkabout tasting, no detailed notes. Nose in the red cherry spectrum, cranberry, sweet spices. Elegant and pure. Will need to add a bit of complexity with age for a higher score.

From 75cl, opened 5 hours in ABC tasting room, Santa Barbara. Smells of bright wild strawberry and other sweet aromatic things; slender entry, inexpressive compared to the Runway and Bauge tasted directly before, a hint of licorice; the mid-palate closed down tight today; long resonant finish with some rhubarb astringency the best bit for me. 5-10 years sideways should help. $50 cellar door. 90P(?)

low color intensity, ruby rim. on the nose this is less fruit forward than a lot of ABC pinots, red fruited, minerally, floral... definitely some new oak use but its not obtrussive. on the palate high acids, a somewhat lean and austere midpalate, finishes with a ton of stemmy grape tannins and moderate alcohol. wine is balanced though firm, has very good length and intensity, good complexity at this stage. wine has finesse, a very fine texture, is expressive of place, is charming, friendly for how much structure there is. what not expecting all that stemmy tannin... i'd leave this for 2-4 years and try again.

Pours vibrant deep pink/ruby in the glass. Bright, ripe, juicy cherry & strawberry with a savory edge of dried herbs. Medium+ acid with subtle tea-like tannin and a finish that goes and goes. Delicious stuff, but hang onto it until it’s 5th birthday if you can.

Tasted blind against Liquid Farm 2020 S&B, both great. Not as long of a finish and slightly less polished as the LF so can’t rate as highly
