Epic Mosel Valley Wine Trip; 10/1/2011-10/4/2011 (Mosel Valley, Germany): the first red of the tasting, a pinot noir, was quite impressive. the nose was smoky and full of rawhide and stawberries. the palate shows bright bing cherries, smoke, and some oak. it's got a lot of acid as well. for 13 euros, what a solid buy.
