Very nice. Mellow, smooth. More complex, with earthy, forest floor, meaty notes showing through a bit. Benefits from aeration and tastes better from a wide-rimmed glass (like burgundy) than a narrow-rimmed glass (syrah).

Aroma and palate include lots of red fruit, baking spice, oak, licorice and leather. Also hints of mocha and tobacco on the nose. I think the fruit is dominating now, but could change as Mourvedre is known to open up later. At the moment, I don't get the typical earthy/gamey characteristics common to Mourvedre. Medium acidity, high (but smooth) tannins, medium body and long finish.

syrupy mouth feel, lots of dark fruit and a bit of earth and leather notes. Lack of complexity detracts slightly.

slight syrup mouth feel. Lots of cherry and plum fruit. A bit of earth in the back end. lacks complexity in layering.
