Bright, citrus aromas with a little hint of toast. Fresh and vibrant on the entry with a delicate mousse. Gets richer through the palate with bread, biscuity notes coming through. Good length.

Caramelised almonds, apricots. Decent fizz still after five years, with small, well formed bubbles. Slight taste of amaretti biscuits. A sort of savouriness to it, nice and dry. Champagne blend and lees resting has given this an almost champagney character, but without either overwhelming "champagneyness" or dominating primary fruitiness.

This is one of the best English sparklers i have tried. A bit of toast on the nose, together with lemons, red apples and a hint of yeast. Quite intense on the palate, good acidity, but not all that complex. Drinking very well now, although i'm sure it will keep. Great!

In a blind tasting, I'd have mistaken this for a chardonnay-dominated champagne. Pale lemon, medium sized bubbles and rather short of mousse, everything else is just 'a point'. Layered intense aromas of green apples, toast and citrus, followed by a just off dry, medium bodied, rich mouthfeel wine with excellent balance and racy acidity, leading to a persistent finish with lots of complexity.

Blind Tasting of 5 English Sparkling Wines and one Champagne: Good. Mid straw appearance. Medium size bubbles. Off dry (sweeter then dry). Mid level acidity. Apples and biscuits. Nice mid length finish - Quite light. Came 2nd out of 6 in a blind tasting of English Sparkling wines.
