The last bottle of a six pack, and finished right in the middle points wise.
Not as extracted and syrupy as the last bottle. Softer and much more balanced. Remnants of dark fruit, but mostly tertiary tasting notes. Leather, tobacco, some minerality and hint of mint. No need to decant for long. After being open and consumed over 5 hours, last glass started to fade. Consume cellar temperature. Drink up now. Has peaked and could slide precipitously.
Went great with steaks mushrooms, creamed spinach with onions and a brandy butter sauce .

Classic Napa. This is in a good spot and should be there for 2-4 years. Showed no signs of over aging. Tannis could even balance out a little bit more. Paired well with wagyu filets at the cabin. 92

Another bottle from this 6-pack. It's still holding its fruit and continues to have layered character. Black and dark blue fruit, graphite, cedar and now some wet leaf on the palate. It continues to evolve and will likely hold another couple years but I think it has already been at it's peak so drink-up.

Drinking nicely, but certainly ready. Everything you come to expect in this wine - very consistent year to year. Always annoyed by the long cork, it always breaks. But run through a filter anyway for the sediment - about what you would expect.
